The country is much further along in its march toward the progressive ideal than they were in 1972. Bernie would pull 150+ EVs against Trump.

Forget Michelle, she simply doesn’t have the political or leadership experience - they may love her, but they won’t support her until she does her time in the Senate, as Skunk Cabbage did prior to running in 2008.
As to Skunk Cabbage - she does expect to simply ride-in and grab the nomination (assuming she can stop Bernie from running away it first)...but maybe not? Does she get the hero’s reception she expect, or is she told to simply ‘go away’, once and for all.
Regarding Deval or some other dark horse - perhaps so, as they would at least have not been tarnished by this Primary process (such as Indian saying she’d use a transgender pre-teen to pick her Education Secretary).
Disappointed Bernie Bots or the Never Bernies trading off for the Never Trumpers, politics does make for strange bedfellows.

There is no logic to this argument. Bernie is just as bad as any of the others and Biden is just as bad as Bernie. Who cares? Whoever wins the Democratic nomination it’s going to get a certain number of votes and Trump is still going to win. I don’t understand the logic of an ever-burning movement.
