The Democrats have been in the House minority for 12 of those 18 years ... which pretty much tells you how badly she's blundered every time she was in her leadership role as House Speaker.
From 1955 to 1995, the democrats controlled the House of Representatives. The republicans, while Clinton was in office, took over the House in 2006 and held it until 2007. The democrats held it from 2007 to 2011, when it went back to the republicans in 2012 (thanks Barak). They held it until 2019 (2018 election) when Trump supporters didn't go to the polls and the democrats sharpened their vote stealing skills (vote harvesting).
Point being, the democrats were used to controlling the House - 40 consecutive years - until 1995. Now it comes down to Presidential election coattails (or not) and off-year election turnout. Well, its a presidential election year with a popular president. Game over Nancy...
