The three things that sealed Alexander's decision: the articles of impeachment being partisan; the bar for impeachment being lowered; and how close we are to the 2020 election.

I wonder what weight he gave to each of those three factors. Was it 1/3 each, or 60% 20% 20%, or something else?

I do not agree with his conclusion that Trump withheld aid, because not only was the aid delivered, but it was timely.

I suspect that Mitt Romney decides beforehand what he is going to do. His only criteria is to damage Trump. His jealousy and lack of Statesmanship is obvious and appalling.

“Seeking foreign aid against a political rival.”

It was THE CORRUPTION.

That Sleepy Joe was one among many involved in the corruption is second.

“Political Rival”??
Geriatric Joe wasn’t a Candidate, wasn’t even predicted to run.
Guess your logic here would mean no looking into any Demon Rats for anything . . .

HorseHockey I say!

The good people of Tennessee need to to give Lamar Alexander a dishonorable discharge.

Remove his name from bridges and schools, review all his likely corruption, etc.

“If it was improper to look into corruption because Biden was a candidate it was improper for Obama to investigate Trump starting in 2015.”

************************************************************

Um. Wrong. Obama is a Democrat. For reeducation you are required to watch CNN for 2 weeks. This should be enough to remind you that only Republicans can be wrong.

According to Alexander, the House impeachment team proved President Donald Trump withheld more than $300 million in military aid to Ukraine as a means of forcing Ukrainian officials to investigate [fraud].

Personally, I expect our foreign aid money be spent in a non-fraudulent manner, not that we'll ever get there 100%.

"Looking into corruption of the prior VP is something you shouldn’t do?

No matter how obvious the corrupt, unhinged previous vp proves himself to be.

It wasn’t a “sin” at all, not even a minor one.

You are correct. Collins voted for witnesses.

Why read Beth Bauman’s opinion? She says Collins voted against witnesses.

He just wants to get his name in a history book. He’s another out of sight. . .out of mind. . .legislator that is using controversy to try to be relevant.

Alexander has been a mushy, blows with the wind, middle-of-the-roader since his days at Vanderbilt. He hasn’t changed a wit through all these years.

IMHO the title of this article is NOT “interesting” at all. A total waste of my time for reading.

If he withheld the money that means Ukraine didn’t get it
If there was quid pro Joe that means Biden was investigated

Meanwhile has Slo Joe ever presented any evidence in his conspiracy theory that the Ukrainian prosecutor was corrupt?”””

The fired Ukranian prosecutor has filed a lawsuit against Joe Biden in US Federal court-—this week.

This could get really interesting. Could it get fast tracked because of Biden’s candidacy?

can someone explain to me if Bidens were corrupt and he confessed on tape over two years ago, why didn’t the president have dod do an investigation?

It seems conflicting to say he was corrupt, but the prescient did nothing wrong because he wasn’t investigated? Didn’t the present have an obligation to investigate him using DOJ?

.
