They MUST end this farce this weekend!
Leader McConnell needs to tell Schumer that he lost and there will be no more Senate time spent on this monstrosity!

After the formal greetings, the first words out of POTUS’ mouth ought to be :

The Senators to be tied up until this Impeachment process is gaveled.
No campaigning...
********************
The fact that four Democrat senators are voting on impeaching the person one of them may be running against is a blatent conflict of interest and patently absurd. Anywhere else other than the pathetic U.S. senate this obvious conflict would disqualify people from participating in a process where their bias is so apparent.

Get Smart episode where emergency government action was needed.
The Chief to Agent 99: We’ve got to get this passed right away. Congress has to get on it now.
Agent 99: It’s going to take 6 weeks, Chief.
Chief: Six weeks! What if you tell them this is extremely important and they have to act now.
99: Three months.
True, important things mean face time to ego driven Congressional tax money sponges to each get their bold speeches made.

I'm not sure what you do about Collins. Incumbents rule. If we dump her, then what? I'd hate to lose the seat to a real demoncRat and then lose the majority, or come even closer to parity. Sometimes your stuck with no way out.

Okay Mitch, all is forgiven...
I'm certainly not there yet. But I was wrong, I did not expect that the repubs could this done. Still, a few senate investigations into all this seems well overdue.

Any new charges would have to presented to the House, and be acted upon there. When I say moles willing to fabricate charges, those would be charges that would support the current presented articles (e.g., Bolton). That's the advantage when you can fabricate out of whole cloth, behind these ridiculous (as being currently applied) whistleblower protections.
Watch and learn what the masters of smoke-and-mirrors "break" over the weekend.
I hope I'm wrong, and that Bolton was their Plan B. But I suspect they learned from the Kavanaugh hearings, and came prepared with a Plan C.

My guess would be Romney and Collins.
Please don’t take that as if I had read it.
It’s my gut instinct.

The big question: will Romney vote FOR or against conviction of Donald Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors?
I think his bitterness is so deep that he will vote for conviction
