The thousands of people who descended upon the Jersey Shore town for President Donald Trump's 'Keep America Great' rally at the Wildwoods Convention Center left behind a sea of trash in the parking lot including their abandoned beach chairs and blankets after the rally wrapped up.
Rally-goers were allowed to bring chairs as they waited in line some for up to 48 hours before the event but they weren't allowed to bring them inside the venue.
Factor in the blankets they used to stay warm, and all their drinks and food they were snacking on during the long wait in the parking lot and the convention center ends up with a parking lot full of trash to deal with Wednesday morning.

I have to disagree with you. Personal responsibility and consideration for resources of others (the owners of the venue or land they were on) is a conservative value.
My impression is that those who criticize them don’t do so because they are Trump supporters, they are criticized for leaving a mess. Most conservatives value principles over siding with someone simply because they support the same candidate.
Really, I don’t think this is worth having a dust-up over. Everyone will go forward and this won’t recur.

Doesnt look as though there were dumpsters on site WHY??? Trash cans look as though they were overflowing if they had dumpsters on site perhaps this would not have happened!!!

"...a conservative value..."
If a patriotic President Trump supporter had been sleeping outside in a folding chair and wrapped in a blanket for 24 hours or more...is the idea they should have NOT gone inside the rally since there was nowhere to store their camping equipment?
That was their unfortunate conundrum. They had to sacrifice their gear if they wished to go inside to see President Trump live.
I agree future rally events will feature collection capabilities for all the stuff that cannot go indoors. They will either provide paid "coat check" service or they will have everything collected, sorted, and placed into dumpsters where the items are subsequently given to charity.

Some refuse to understand the situation, sad.

Heh, I agree to cut them some slack because it was late January in New Jersey...I admit to not making any “accommodation” for that.
I tend to project my preparedness on others, and that isn’t really fair. I am used to dressing in a way that would allow me to spend 12 hours outside in very cold weather, but not everyone has the forethought or means to do that.
Mea culpa...:)

My anticipation is that President Trump, the RNC, and the various host venues will have a "formula" moving forward.
I do hope to attend a President Trump rally as it would undoubtedly be lots of fun. Even the hours prior would be like a huge party. :-)

I had tickets to the one up in New Hampshire back in August, but I had a death in the family so I couldn’t go...I was really looking forward to it.
I am going to try to get tickets to the next one. I live in a Blue-Blue state, so anytime I get to hang around like-minded people, it feels like going home!
Thanks for the reasonable discussion on this..I appreciate it.

Sorry to hear about the unfortunate family death that coincided with the Trump Rally opportunity you had. Hopefully we each get to attend one, it would be a first for me.
I was also totally serious about my intention of bringing a big box of high-quality, thick, industrial-strength garbage bags. They would definitely go to good use and could only help. As long as garbage is contained and orderly, it minimizes how video footage can be used against us.
It was a pleasure exchanging ideas with you, too, FRiend.
