Key Facts

In 2003, a total of 8,096 people in 29 countries got SARS and 774 of them died.
Only eight people in the United States got SARS. None of them died.
Health professionals around the world worked together to successfully contain the outbreak in 2003.
In six months, the global SARS outbreak cost the world an estimated $40 billion.

OK, compare that with what we have seen so far after 4 weeks:

In 2020, We have had worldwide, 8,235 KNOWN cases of The Novel Coronavirus. This has spread so far to 22 countries.
Of these, 8,124 are in China. 171 have died and 143 have recovered.
We have 6 known cases in the USA thus far (one via person to person transmission from a spouse). There are no deaths (yet).
No one has died (yet) outside China.
My conclusion -— This particular Coronavirus is spreading FASTER than SARS.
