Case was dropped because the woman (not girl) refused to testify. Reportedly there was an issue with the DNA showing someone else's DNA where only Bryant's would be expected to be found.
Not convinced beyond a reasonable doubt about what occurred except what they agree on, and the DNA; Obviously there was some consent; unless one was there it is not possible to know when the woman, who admittedly went to his room and started kissing him, said "stop."
He, and she, is as guilty as every soul who must appear before the Judgment Seat.
No problem with going to trial; tragedy for all concerned; blame Bryant and the woman for the tryst that could have devolved into rape of some degree.
However, there was no trial because the woman refused to testify after the DNA came back from analysis.

Reportedly there was an issue with the DNA showing someone else's DNA where only Bryant's would be expected to be found. Did you read the part about her saying that she had put on 'dirty' underwear that day?
Why would Bryant's DNA be suspected to be there? I find it fully reasonable that this chick picked up dirty underwear out of the clothes pile that contained DNA from a previous sexual encounter.
What's that got to do with Kobe raping her? Now you sound like a defense lawyer trying to muddy the victim's testimony and cast doubt on her by bring up her sexual history.
A very not cool tactic.
