Here are the facts of life. When you divide the nation into whites, blacks, white Hispanics and Other, blacks commit either a plurality or the majority of crime in the country. This isn’t just restricted to violent crime. Blacks are also the biggest (although not necessarily the majority) non-violent offenders as well. In the case of rape, blacks again punch above their weight. Then you add on the athlete factor. It’s not a big stretch to infer that when someone like Bryant, wealthy and armed with his black privilege card is the liar and rapist in a one-time encounter with a pretty white girl who had never met him before.

Let’s say the defense claim that she consented at the beginning is true. Then he grabs her by the throat and rapes her. The defense claims the fact that she had sex with someone else later is proof that he didn’t rape her.

The analogy is to someone who invites you over for a luxe dinner. He force feeds you a bowl of generic matter from his septic tank instead. Then he suggests that you consented to dining on the scum from his cesspit. Why? Because you went out the next day and had a proper meal to wash the taste of that muck out of your mouth.

The defense argument is complete crap even if she consented at the beginning and it’s not clear that she did consent. What’s equally likely is that she was fooled by the pleasant facade put on by black athletes to make them more endorsement-friendly than the murky reality beneath, and trusted him to behave like a typical white guy, athlete or not, and refrain from raping her when she objected. She was wrong.

The fact that the prosecutor wanted to go after Bryant, in the face of black privilege, potential accusations of racism against him and Bryant’s OJ-scale defense team funded with tens of millions of dollars suggests that he thought the case was strong enough for him to avoid being humiliated the way Marcia Clark was. Kobe Bryant escaped because the psychologically fragile victim (veteran of 1 suicide attempt) couldn’t go through the stress of getting raked over the coals and threatened with physical harm by NBA fans like you nationwide.
