Abigail Disney has weighed in on Kobe Bryant's controversial past, after actress Evan Rachel Wood and a Washington Post journalist were berated for tweeting about a rape allegation against him from 2003, just hours after his death in a helicopter crash Sunday.
Disney - whose grandfather Roy O. Disney co-founded The Walt Disney Company - tweeted: 'I haven't said anything about Kobe so far because I felt some time needed to pass before weighing in. But yes, it's time for the sledgehammer to come out. The man was a rapist. Deal with it.'

I never followed the case at the time it happened, but I went over the transcripts and the victim never claimed anal rape, nor did the medical examination find anything that would have indicated anal rape.
For my money, based on all the transcripts, she was probably looking to cash in on an encounter with Bryant. And he was stupid and wicked enough to get himself into a situation that allowed it.
Note Rape claim folk here leave out details that make the very flawed accuser look bad
No one here can definitely say he raped her
There is a lot about her and the circumstances that make her claims not very credible
At least one other mans semen on her panties and the blood may have been menstrual from before ...a fact held by the state attorney.....withholding exculpatory evidence is a crime
Comments from some staff she trolled Kobe and some saying she intended to bang him
She is known to have mental issues of a more than minor nature
The night clerk said she was fine and jovial after leaving Kobe room...
She was known by her friends to be a celeb chaser and star fukcer
The bellman who supported her claims was a pal and someone shed been intimate with recently
She had two prior suicide attempts
She had been on American Idol tryouts and bragged about shagging a celeb lookalike to the hotel staff...
She waits a day to report the rape.....
Evidence bad for Kobe:
He admitted to sex with her
He admitted to consensual sex that was first kissing and her going down on him and then was a bit rough doggy style with her over a chair and his hands on her throat from behind. And he pulled her hair ..which is where the anal sex claims some here tout but are not verified come from
He lied at first about having had sex with her because he didnt want his rib to know ....a little late for that sport
Signs or stress around her vaginal opening and walls .....but that is flawed....no proof Kobe did that considering the state of her pantiies ...or maybe hes a BBC. And she wasnt prepped well enough....possible since it seems rushed and she wasnt wet enough or at all
Could he have really raped her....yes
Could he not have....yes
Could the additional semen and vaginal stress they found two days later have come from The same man and even after Bryant penetrated her?
Yes thats possible too
These are the facts which to me leave way too much BS for a solid rape case beyond he said she said
Sounds more to me at most consensual got out of hand
Im no fan of the NBA or Kobe Bryant and Im known her as not terribly sensitive about race which I find a topic most folks lack the stones to discuss truthfully
However after studying this case Im far from convinced he raped her
[Youre just repeating rumors. Thats below the standard we should keep here. And Ive never argued he was innocent, though thats a possibility. But heaping on lies doesnt reflect well on a poster.]
I sure hope when all of your times come to meet your maker, and I hope that’s way off in the future, that everyone, including all of your exes, in your past that you’ve wronged, lied to, spoken ill of, speak out publicly to your grieving family and friends and expose the “real you” because it’s their free speech right and your family and friends, including children, just need to “deal with it.”
You think it matters what door he used?
It’s interesting, I forgot how bad the incident was. He strangled her to get her to comply, turned her around, pulled her panties down and mounted her from behind, all the while strangling her.
“When asked about bruises on the accuser’s neck, Bryant admitted to “strangling” her during the encounter, stating that he held her “from the back” “around her neck”, that strangling during sex was his “thing” and that he had a pattern of strangling a different sex partner (not his wife) during their recurring sexual encounters. When asked how hard he was holding onto her neck, Bryant stated, “My hands are strong. I don’t know.”

I sure hope so too.
But might I suggest something easier. That one person interviews those close to the deceased throughout his life and then make a formal 'speaking' on the dead man, warts and all, in front of all those who are interested to attend.
The speaker should be a professional and this should be his job.

Many of the photos of the Bryant family show the children wearing Disney clothing and Kobe even said he took his wife on dates and his family to Disneyland many times. If I were his friends and family I would never set foot in the place or spend a dime on their merchandise.
I’m sure this loudmouth no-talent Disney heiress has refunded all of his money on moral grounds anyway.

I remember that many conservative talk radio hosts, including Rush and Savage, felt that Bryant was being shaken down.
Yea, I never raped nobody.
I'll thank you to keep my name out your mouth when you're defending rapists, zagfan.
In between banging and raping everything that walks?
What a great family man. Disneyland, you say?
Is Virginia’s Lt. Gov. Lewis? Fairfax a “rapist”? Two women have accused him of being one.
Accusations are one thing. Proving them is another and often very hard to impossible, esp. with the passage of time.
Just look at those accused: Pres. Clinton; Harvey Weinstein; Jeffrey Epstein; Kobe Bryant; lots of football players; other politicians, show hosts/news people, etc.
Sometimes the truth will “not out” in a court of law, and justice will be denied, but that is the way our judicial system works (though the Democrats have now eliminated the requirement for “proof beyond a reasonable doubt”, or “any proof at all” in the case of Justice Kavanaugh, Justice Clarence Thomas, Judge Robert Bork, and President Trump”.
Hearsay, innuendo, lies and disinformation are not supposed to be allowed in a court proceeding, or even a congressional hearing, but the Democrats have made that requirement moot for them and their lying toadies and traitors.
Our Maker knows the Truth, denying it is pointless. Having said that, I’m sure Bryant’s family is well aware of what he’s done.
My disgust with this Disney heiress has nothing to do with Kobe Bryant but with her treatment of his friends and family.
If you think it’s okay to pour salt into the wounds of a woman who lost her husband and 13 year old daughter, three children 16, 3 and 7 months old that lost their father and sister and other family members and friends, then we’ll just have to agree to disagree.
The comment about Disneyland has nothing to do whether Kobe was a family man or not—that’s for the family to determine. I find it ironic that this self-important Disney character has a problem with Kobe’s legacy but no problem with taking his money.
“A womanizer”? LOL. The poor helpless wide-eyed waifs are powerless about who they mount up on, because he was a .....”womanizer”!!!
He put a spell on her!

Nothing outrageous about it.
Appearing in blackface (Trudeau, Northam, Danson, Behar...) and Ku Klux Klan leadership (Byrd) are forgiven for Democrats, why would anyone think that being a rapist would tarnish them?
And here you are, dinging her.
Just another sad commentary on the deification of those, who if for not some celebratory status would be just another statistic in the criminal world.
It's quite possible that Bryan'ts wife and even his children have their own ideas on the character of their rapist/adulterist father. Nothing the Disney chick says about him can be news to them. You act like Kobe and his family were one big happy Disney family.
Do you think him and his wife never discussed his rape allegations? Or his adulterous affairs?
We know about all those things that made the news. She knows about all the things that DIDN'T make the news.
Do you think Kobe only raped the one woman? And just so happened to get one that would go to the cops and speak out? Nope. People like Kobe (and Bill Clinton and Weinstein, and Cosby), powerful people with money, are used to getting what they want and getting away with it.
And then to have enablers like you defending them is a sign of a sick society. Your way of thinking is cancer.
The rich and powerful among us preying on society and getting away with it is something that should be condemned out of existence, but here you are.
And furthermore, the fact that his wife accepts his behavior and he has children does not give him license and certainly will not prevent me from 'judging' a dangerous, entitled scumbag rapist. Nor should it.
And good on the Disney chick. I'm very proud of her for having the courage to speak out and risk the wrath of rapist enablers like you.
