Philbin addresses Mitsko and Grace (on Shiff’s staff) contacts with “whistleblower” and Atkinson’s deposition with the right “Tone”

I watched the video
what’s the turn-around time to get it on the Senate’s AV system?

It's the answer I expected. What other kind of answer could he give?

None of the information about the whistle-blower and contact with Schiff is public knowledge, and only the IG has the details. A more detailed answer would suggest the President knows more and that would open up a whole different can of worms.

Its just a guess, but that’s what I think.

What I’m basing that on is that crossover votes, where GOP senators vote with the Democrats, can be easily forgiven by voters when the vote is a process vote... I.e a vote on whether or not witnesses should be called.

However, Republican senators voting with the Democrats to convict - that is entirely different. Doing that will evoke a loud and angry response from every 2016 Trump voter, and nearly every Republican locally and nationally.

When justifying a vote with the Democrats to call John Bolton as witness, a GOP Senator can say they just want to hear all the facts - and assuming the President has nothing to hide, it will not hurt the president at all - sounds reasonable.

When trying to justifying a vote with the Democrats to convict and remove a Republican President on such flimsy grounds - I can’t even imagine what a GOP Senator would say - I think Republican voters everywhere would be horrified. The Senator would need to switch parties or quit politics altogether.

That’s why I’m pretty sure all 53 will acquit.

I would rather he would have used the democrap method. Like in an article published by Real Clear Politics the whistleblower was identified as Ciaramella. If that is indeed fact.. and then do the tear down.

Question is our side going to get it on the SENATE’s system now or let it pass.

Hope they don’t mess this tidbit up.

Actually, that would not be effective, because the House Manager are not compelled to answer the question or at least in a way that will please our side. So effectively, you are giving them more time for their nonsense

tough for R’s to question the managers, Dems are truly experts at deflection, evasion, misrepresentation, and lying.
I can’t think of a single question they could not squirm out of.

Nobody is going to name the name on the Senate floor. That would be the stupidest thing for the President's team to do.

I think all the Senators would say that was out of bounds, and will kill all the good will the President's team has generated.

I would leave that to Senate committee investigations to uncover. Trump doesn't need to drop that bomb to end this.

It was a threat.

I don’t see how asking about schiff’s contact with WB could hurt us. Make them dance around that. Or lie.
