Schiff and Lofgren were House Managers on that impeachment, too.

Friday Dems are going to ask for a motion for Chief Justice Roberts to be the decider on witnesses.....that means he determines whose significant to this trial.

So the House basically failed to do their job, threw it to the Senate to fix and wants the Chief Justice to take over if there's questions about witnesses relevance. No more witnesses! End it Friday to Acquitt!

"What he skipped as a contrasting motive is self-defense."

In his defense, I'll say...He only had 5 minutes to explain and he was cutting close to it as it was.

But gosh darn, he was crystal clear in explaining.

In your example, I see motive kicks in when another person uses their intent first.

-- The intent was to kill, regardless of the motive. The motive isn't on trial, just the intent to kill. --

Except self-defense, when the motive of the intent to kill is highly relevant.

Dersh did much better when he referred to the case. Trump could have a pure motive, only national interest, or only an impermissible motive, graft, of a mixed one - something for the country and it happens to benefit him. This is the most common situation for all political decisions, but even if not (made up examples of Obama refusing to use force in the national interest in order to appease leftist voters), still not impeachable.

A repeat of Amendment 1294: CJ be required to rule on motions to subpoena?

I'm not arguing with you, you're correct.

I'm just saying that it wasn't relevant to Dershowitz' answer, and in the interest of time he didn't dwell on it but acknowledged it.

Trump isn't on trial for shooting someone on 5th Avenue.

Isn’t Lofgren the blonde who doesn’t know what a comb is used for? Sheesh...get a wig if you have to!

"Are you somehow offended because judge Porteous was from Louisiana?"

No, I am not. I am offended that Schittz would insult the entire state with his stupid response. It will be a great snip on campaign ads down here during the election.

Pretty sure the senate can just vote him down. He is still just a guest in their house.

I am distantly related to Jimmy Carter’s wife, Rosalynn Smith.
I have hereby publicly confessed.
Please forgive me.

In addition to that,
I also voted for Jimmy Carter for president in 1976
because he was from Georgia
and he was the Governor of Georgia
and I lived in Georgia
and I worked for the State of Georgia
and he was my boss.

Please forgive me.

I was wondering about her bathing etc. as well.....here she is on International TV and a representative no less for a serious event such as this and she can’t present a basic presentation of herself.

Interesting CSPAN break with regard to callers. The all appear to be against calling of witnesses and this shampeachment.
