Senate Impeachment Trial LIVE - day 8
no
they should mic him up tomorrow. he moves around too much for that system
Hannity humiliating Bolton tonight. Good stuff. Ha ha. Just desserts.
What did he say?
Somehow, I doubt it.

it is not senate’s job to fill in the gaps that framers left as per D.
Dershowitz is in a league of his own.
He was talking to S. Collins, Murkowski, Alexander and SPECIFICALLY Romney
He said that judges are appointed for life,
and the only way to remove a corrupt judge was through impeachment...
but the President of the US was not appointed for life,
and could be removed by election every 4 years.
He made a comment that sounded like “a corrupt Louisiana judge”. We need a transcript of his remarks.
Totally agree!
Doing what we the people hired him to do!
just saw a picture of Jill Biden campaigning in Iowa...at a bar, standing next to a pool table....10 people were there....sad.
This Q&A is great TV....you hear and see both sides and easily pick out the best and worst....those who know what they’re talking about and understand it....and those who avoid speaking about the issues they’re questioned about because they won’t or can’t answer.
Shiff and Nadler still trying to be political stars.
You intend for the target person to be incapacitated or killed.
Your motive might be robbery. What he skipped as a contrasting motive is self-defense.
So his argument or theory that motive isn't relevant will eventually fall apart given the vast range of human conduct and law.
Where he is right is on the application of motive or intent or any other state of mind to Trump's relationship with Zelenskyy. The ACTIONS might be impeachable, but as long as there is a national interest to the ask, the ask is fine. Likewise with pressure (stick) or promise (carrot) sort of things. All that is in POTUS wheelhouse.
Yes, he said something like:
“how else do you remove a corrupt Louisiana judge”.
You may need a transcript, but I do not.

He did say that in some cases motive is important, but he didn't dwell on it because it wasn't germane to his point about intent.
The intent was to kill, regardless of the motive. The motive isn't on trial, just the intent to kill.
Transferring to impeachment, the intent was to root out corruption regardless of whether there was a motive to gain an advantage in the election.

Are you somehow offended because judge Porteous was from Louisiana?
Hell, I’m offended that Jimmy Carter was from Georgia!
Thanks. It still remains that Schitzz insulted Louisiana rather than simply name the individual judge.
