You’ve got to hand it to the Democrats -- they can hold their caucus together for the flimsiest of causes. The GOP, though, has all these RINOs who have to establish their independence; they’re willing to break party unity when it serves their own ambitions. Three senators – Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, and Mitt Romney of Utah – are rumored to be willing for witnesses to be called in the impeachment trial now underway in the Senate. Obviously, such a slowdown benefits the Democrats, who want the impeachment to headline news reports as long as possible. Further and more importantly, it was the House’s responsibility to build its case by compiling evidence and presenting it to the Senate for a trial; it is not the Senate’s responsibility to gather evidence.
The Democratic case lacks “overwhelming evidence” as Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa said, calling the whole process “a political exercise.” Ernst and others, like Lindsey Graham, are unwilling to extend the trial and accomplish the Democrat’s goal of dominating headlines in the run-up to the November elections.
The question is whether the three RINOs mentioned above will put the good of the country above their own emotional needs or self-interest.
Take Senator Mitt Romney. Remember when he needed endorsements when running for President? He went to New York to ask for Trump’s endorsement. He got it. Remember, after he lost the Presidency, he ran for senator from Utah. He sought and received Trump’s endorsement. Typically, such political favors generate appreciation and are reciprocated. Not so with Romney.

Collins is the best we can do in Maine. Romney is a Mormon like Flake and Harry Reid. Hatch got more disappointing every term. This is what we have to deal with. No excuse for a Democrat or RINO Senator in a red state. Are you folks in Alabama/N.C. listening?
For the life of me I cannot understand what the "Three Sisters" (Collins; Murkowski; Romney) expect to gain with this. GOP voters will hate them; Democrat/Leftist voters still won't trust them; and voters throughout America will continue to suffer under this debacle especially that the outcome is set in stone.
The Sisters have sat through the presentations, they've been taught about the terrible impacts to the Constitution of all of this; and they have been given a crystal clear determination that no crime has been committed -- even if the President did everything the Democrat/Left has alleged he has done (and for which there is not a shred of evidence).
I just don't get it. I just don't understand the thinking of the Three Sisters.

It helps if they want to keep any of the current Dem candidates from building momentum so they can go into the convention all split. But, its hard to believe they would plan this for Hillary or Mooch, this far in advance.
I would think that tying up Sanders and Warren, not to mention Klobuchar and Booker, while Biden gets hammered with witness revelations, would be bad for their party's turnout, regardless of who the nominee turns out to be.
According to another report (from Politico? I forgot where), two other senators may go along with these known three;
1) outgoing TN senator Lamar Alexander, rumored to be the more moderate Republicans ===> One last time to screw the base and Americans;
and 2) CO senator Cory Gardner, by Subotai’s account, no longer pretends to be a Republican.
Anything to draw it out closer to the election. Every week or so some lying POS will release “new facts”, none of which will be and they will not be proveable.
Anything to get set up to steal the next election, or even better from their point of view to push some half-wit into violence. Of course it will be the Orange Man’s fault.
Nobody outside Washington gives a damn about this impeachment. And with the TV ratings in the toilet, nobody in the media cares either.
Okay, but why did the rest of us have to be punished with three days of non-stop eulogies from the media, the like of which had not been seen since the Kennedy assassination.
Which will consist of 14 hours of Rat Filibustering.

Hatch actually improved greatly in his last term and POTUS reportedly campaigned hard for him to run again. Sadly, he was bullied out of his seat by his church to make room for Romney.
There would be a GOP Senator from Alabama today had the GOP establishment respected the will of the GOP primary voters. Instead they openly campaigned for a progressive Democrat and here we are.
Clearly, The GOP establishment prefers progrssive Democrats to GOP base voters. Are we listening?

That is how the Democrats like things, and if the Senate decides to move forward with new witnesses, they can expect this to happen again and again and again. America loses if they allow new witnesses.
Romney needs to know if he votes for more witnesses, that his own son’s activities with Ukraine will come out as well...
My take on this? Follow the $$$$$$$$$. It stinks of dirty $$$$$$.
They know they would be committing what amounts to treason toward their constituents and party and they don’t care. Out with them first chance.
