I’m hoping that a test can be done on them even if they aren’t showing symptoms. There is a husband and wife in Canada that traveled in from Wuhan.

The husband is confirmed (and ill) and in the hospital. The wife is believed to also have it, but showing no symptoms. She is staying alone in their home, and has been tested, and waiting on the results. I think perhaps initial tests say she has it, but they are waiting the day or two from the national lab to confirm it.

So hopefully that is what the three-day stay at the base is for, to wait for the CDC to confirm the test results.

That would make sense. They are testing for the virus (I think). So if the virus is present, the test will show it. Regardless if the person is symptomatic or not.

One of our daughters would get strep and pass it around. But she never showed signs for it. It wasn’t until the third time that the doctor figured it out and would test her and then treat her as well every time.
