A federal court has ruled Arizona Republicans ban on mail-in ballots is illegal and unconstitutional, calling it intentionally discriminatory toward people of color, who already face increased barriers to voting. The ruling is a major victory for the Democratic party, which filed the suit, and will likely make it easier for minorities to get their ballots counted in the largely red state.

Someone needs to rocket this to Kavanaugh.

Was the ban on mail-in ballots, or third parties collecting mail-in ballots; i.e., ballot harvesting?

A federal court has ruled Arizona Republicans ban on mail-in ballots is illegal and unconstitutional. So now a voting option that didn't even exist until a decade ago is now a “constitutional right”, got to love the left and their living document constitutional views.

BS!
Mail-in ballots are inherently insecure and prone to fraud.

Oh my God they are going full steam to turn AZ blue!! What this is saying is that Illegals must be given the right to vote by this ruling!!
To: grey_whiskers
Because minorities are too stupid to know how to vote and mail a letter, and must count on other people to come by, fill in their ballot, and carry it en-mass to the election board? Yup, zero chance to fraud with that process!
The Guardian is a Leftwing rag, and will most definitely misrepresent the facts.

"A federal court has ruled Arizona Republicans ban on mail-in ballots is illegal and unconstitutional, calling it intentionally discriminatory toward people of color, who already face increased barriers to voting."
What barriers to voting? The court treats "people of color" like children who are unable to follow the rules that apply to everyone else.

I assume that absentee ballots are still allowed for people out of state on business or too infirm to go to the polls. Or are they?

"A federal court has ruled Arizona Republicans ban on mail-in ballots is illegal and unconstitutional, calling it intentionally discriminatory toward people of color, who already face increased barriers to voting."When was this ban passed? I get a mail-in ballot every election in AZ. I usually just drop mine off at my polling place in order to ensure it gets there, but I have mailed mine in too.

Yes on third-party ballot collecting mostly in hispanic and Native Indian communities where they say some don’t have mailing addresses, poling stations to far to travel, etc.
Ok- then make a law saying for any third party collection a member of each party needs to collect the ballots.
Third party ballot collecting is going to become 90% way of voting in years to come.

I remember 2001 or 2004 when helping out at our GOP Hq., the phone was ringing off the hook with calls from voters looking for their mail in ballots...I called the Dem. HQ. to see if they were getting calls of the same nature...NO they were not.

They are going to cheat at an unimaginable level this November, 18 was the test run and they stole a LOT of races.

Agree... the State must appeal this sucker immediately.
