This is not surprising at all, if anything it's surprising that it's not higher. First, it is the Democrats mantra, and their willing accomplishes (the media) are pushing it as well. Most people do not understand of the Constitutional explict roles between the House and the Senate and they believe that this can be brushed aside so that the Senate can launch it's own inquiry. Since that is what they know about what goes on in courts, they want to see another episode of Perry Mason or Court TV. Just like they see on TV, they think that the Senate can resolve the mess that the House produced, discover the truth, and deliver a fair result.
This is what the Democrats want, it's the only way that they can recover from this disaster, and the Trump defense wants to put an end to this nightmare. Politicians will want to get both. We have a small chance of keeping the Republican puppies in the box, but it will be close. Pray for our Republic.
OMG RV THANK YOU tuned in just in time to see the closing!!! WOW kicked them with their own words GREAT!!!
Fox Business just reported that Mitch McConnell has stated that the GOP currently lacks the votes to block witnesses. And on it goes...
You know what's coming next: The Rats get their witnesses, Trump does not.
Should put witnesses from each side on each vote, if not doing them all in one vote... Since when does the defense not have the right to call who they want? The House could have called whomever they desired after they finally voted.
This will spin out of control, neither the Democrats or the Republicans are going to be able to shape it. My only thought is that the best approach would be to flood the zone. Insist on every every character in this soap opera who appeared on the stage, no matter how briefly, to appear as a witness. This will be unpalatable to the Democrats and will cause them to reverse their demands.
If they do that, they will make the GOP a permanent minority, just as many of them would like.
The Rat's witnesses will show up, Trump's will fight in the courts. The Senate will decide fighting in court would take too long and cancel Trump's witnesses.
Excellent point.
Mitch McConnell has stated that the GOP currently lacks the votes to block witnesses.

Trump gets witnesses that plead the Fifth. The Rats get witnesses that hate Trump and shade the truth.
impeachment, however, she has now said she will vote to impeach.
Great song!!!!
Apologize for the late reply...Busy day...You are absolutely correct. The party is at a crossroads. Either a policy of aggressive politics develops; or, in time, many members who want action will find another place to put their money and their support at the polls.
I have read several articles about the Impeachment issue, McConnel, Bolton, and others. IN the Comment sections where the witness testimony issue is raised, the like/dislike voting always is about 3 to 1 in favor of testimony. Often it will be like 250 to 70 or similar.
