My take on things, is that there is fear of rehashing all.of the smears against him from the last campaign, if he were to run again.

I think that drives some of the desire to see another Republican candidate take back that Senate seat.

I’m sure that’s part of it.

That seemed to work last time. It may be seen as tired old data now. Who knows?

It does for me. Though I think he got a raw deal, and I think that the success of the smear tactics against him caused them to try the same thing on Kavanaugh, I would prefer that Roy simply stayed out.

His candidacy is a distraction from what is important.
