You know the Dems had this “leak” planned well in advance...I think they set a trap for McConnell and he walked into it. Like many GOPers, he made the mistake of giving the Dems the benefit of the doubt and thinking they wanted to be honorable and legal.
All they want to do is get Trump out of office, and they’ll stop at nothing.
At this point, looks like Romney and Collins will vote for witnesses. The other 2 possibilities are Lamar Alexander (retiring, but a good friend of Mitch), and Murkowski (who has been trying to patch things up with Trump recently).
I think vote for witnesses may get 51-49 (against), or 50-50, which fails. But again, Mitch may have to make some last minute compromise.
No GOP senator will vote to convict...
they just want Trumps poll numbers to tank so he loses the election...
The Turtle could tell the RINOS...do not vote for witnesses if you want money for your election..maybe he has and this is just for show..til the vote
