Senate Impeachment Trial LIVE - day 6
Acually it requires two-thirds of the members present (currently 67 out of 100 senators, assuming all present). If not all Senators were present, a quorum would be needed for a vote. In the Senate a quorum is half plus one, or 51 out of 100. If only the minimum for a quorum were present, two-thirds would mean 34 voting in favor of impeachment. However, I don't think anyone is going to bail on this.
He was born for this moment. It was pure heaven listening to him. He is a national treasure.
“I follow a few Lib reporters...
Theyre all ignoring Dersh”.
Of course they are. Libs don’t want to be bothered by the truth.
I hope he was thinking “Ruth Bater WHO??”
I took your comment to mean we are one voting event from removal, not one individual’s vote in that event.
Which is already too close for comfort. This should not be happening.
There’s the bell!
What a day.
I stopped Tucker and Hannity... just ‘cause I couldn’t turn on the channel.
Amen!
Indeed. What a great day for our wonderful President!
Even Bolton’s “bombshell” was debunked (by the Professor)...
God bless all of these presenters and God bless our President!
I agree. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s education and we don’t have to pay tuition.
Excellent! So enjoyed him.
Oh, please stop with this. Trump will not be removed. If removal required only a simple majority, perhaps I’d be slightly concerned, because I could see the Romney, Collins, and Murkowski types caving to curry favor with the Left, but removal requires much more than that.
The Republicans know Trump is exceedingly popular with the party rank and file and he is their best fundraiser. I don’t doubt that many of the Republican Senators hate him, and would love to remove him if there would be no consequences, but the consequences would be profound, and they know it. The party would effectively cease to exist. They may not acquit him for the right reasons, but they will acquit him.
Pam Bondy really surprised me....she was excellent with a very important part of the defense...
Good points. But perhaps were Philbin as effective a speaker as Derschowitz, his mind might not be as brilliant. I believe he shaped much of what was said today, and not just from him.
Thanks...
BioMajor.
Agreed. Especially for legal arguments, which is more listening than watching.
Noncriminal conduct isnt a crime or an impeachable offense.
I may disagree with the Presidents policies but you dont remove him from office for them.
The American people have an alternative. If they dont like what a President is doing, theyre free to vote against him.
Impeachment quite simply put, is overkill.
can Sean Hannity be more annoying...i swear hes getting senile..
I guess Schiffs idea of a constitutional scholar is Obama. Ha! Obama focused his teaching on civil rights and seemed to have understood little about the rest of the constitution.
“Damn he’s a lot smarter then me..”
