I believe The Omega Man and Last Man On Earth were both based on Richard Matheson’s I Am Legend.. which was also filmed under that title.
Stephen King’s The Stand had the superflu that wiped out most of the world’s population.King has said the writer that most influenced him was Matheson.
Thanks for the info. I just looked him up and wow, I’ve been enjoying his work for a long time and just didn’t notice. I am most interested in reading his works.
What I find interesting is he wrote old westerns and star trek....amazing.
