SC is still a red state and incumbency is a decided advantage. Graham has raised big money and he is dining off his Kavanaugh performance and the huge number of judicial confirmations. And then you have sycophants like Hannity who treat him with kid gloves.

Once the impeachment hoax is over, I hope Trump moves away from Graham and his McCain agenda.

Medium to long term SC is trending purple due to transplants. Graham knows Trump voters will pull him over the line in 2020. If he wants to run again in six years and rely more so on Democrat votes he will do it. So I believe he will never substantively support POTUS against the coup because that could haunt him with Democrats later.
