The lengthy defense of the Biden family by House Democrats during President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial opened the door to probing whether Joe and Hunter Biden were involved in corruption in Ukraine, the defense team says.
A source on Trump’s legal team told reporters Friday that “it became quite apparent yesterday from the House managers that they’ve made it very relevant to the case, that they spent a lot of time bringing the Bidens into this case and have established that there is something relevant that’s there.”
The source said “we’ll have to be addressing that since they opened that up.”

Umm.. Where’s Biden’s attorneys? You’d imagine if you’ve got a child collecting millions from foreign governments you’d be trying really hard to keep his name out of this. Bernie and Warren must have been giggling like mad every minute house managers were talking about him.

My theory is that they wanted this to come up in order to have a contested convention. But it looks too soon and also that Bernie is overtaking Biden anyway. But if there are any questions about timing of the Articles of Impeachment nd so on that is why they timed things the way they did. I think they have screwed up, though. horribly. :)

But Lindsey Graham has said he will vote against any move to subpoena Hunter Biden, apparently even if the Dims win a vote to subpoena whoever they wish.
Lindsey’s ‘logic’ is nonsense. Hunter and Joe’s involvement in Ukraine is at the center of the president’s request for assistance in investigating past Ukraine corruption and the involvement of US officials in it.
I prefer that this impeachment hoax by shut down quickly in the Senate, but if the Dims win a vote to call more witnesses, then the Republicans damned well better also call their own witnesses.
Lindsey, by acting to cover corruption, is demonstrating his own corruption.
Dnc will have a brokered convention. They will nominate Hillary backed by VP candidate Bloomberg so Bloomberg can spend as much of his money as he wants. Hillary is resting, getting a makeover and editing TV ads against Trump. That’s my take.
By all means target the Bidens for all its worth. But don’t forget Paul Pelosi, Nancy’s son. He did in the Ukraine exactly what Hunter Biden did. If Trump’s lawyers handle it correctly Nancy can use her shiny gold pen to sign her resignation letter and Paul’s bail bond.
VP Biden didn't make that call on his own to get the Ukrainian prosecutor fired.
Barry must be called in to testify....with President Trump sitting in the front row watching for good measure.

This can’t be true. The folks on CNN and MSNBC and ABC/CBS/NBC assured me that the Bidens did absolutely nothing wrong and no one seriously believes otherwise and that any claims to the contrary have been thoroughly debunked.

Not a bad theory. You may have something there.
However, such DNC desperation hail mary attempt would be a loosing ticket. Hillary would devolve physically once nominated due to the rigors of a general election campaign and Bloomberg is a small stature unknown outside of ny and the beltway.
Couple that with the fact that the extreme radical supporters of sanders and to some extent warren would never vote for a ticket that has a very wealthy old white male (contradictory, I know).
However, I certainly wouldn't put it past the dem's for thinking this might be a winning strategy.
