In 2004, the Chicago Tribune referred to her as the most watched TV reporter nobody in America has seen, and this turn-of-phrase seemed stunningly apt. Baghdad-born Dalia al-Aqidi was 36, and a fixture of Middle East media. In sharp contrast to programming on Qatars popular Al-Jazeera, Dalia was a leading voice on Alhurra, an American-sponsored television channel broadcasting in the Middle East and delivering a strongly pro-America message.
...
Following her escape from Iraq, al-Aqidi traveled throughout the Middle East with her mother and infant brother, doing an eclectic mix of paid media stints, including hosting childrens shows, reporting news, and dubbing cartoons from English to Arabic. At the advice of those in the Iraqi opposition, al-Aqidi and her mother eventually linked up with Radio Free Iraq in Saudi Arabia, where Dalia was able to hone her media skills more seriously. Shortly thereafter, she moved to the United States.
...
When I asked Dalia to explain her foray into the congressional space, her answer spoke to the profound duty she feels to replace Omar. I am running for Congress in Minnesotas Fifth District because I believe Ilhan Omar is doing irreparable harm to both Minnesota and to Americaand she must be stopped, she said. This wonderful country has given me so much. As an American, and especially as an immigrant and a Muslim, I felt it was my patriotic duty to try, she said. Her consistent antisemitism and hateful rhetoric are toxic; they serve only to gain attention for herself at the expense of our fellow Americans.

I thought that this was worth sharing, even though I'm not a resident of Minnesota.
Ttiwwp.
I wish her the greatest of fortune. Seems like a very fine human being.
Already posted. Search works.
When I search to make sure something already hasn’t been posted. I click on search, get rid of the asterisk, select Titles in the dropdown menu, type the first few words of the title, then search. It works every time.
No mention of her party affiliation.
I hope this person wins. I also hope AOC loses the primary. That would be fun to watch. If her residents go out to vote more then they did in 2018, she could be toast.
She would be a refreshing change. She sees what Omar is doing.
“”””I thought that this was worth sharing, even though I’m not a resident of Minnesota. “”””””””””””””””””””””
I’m in the American part of Minnesota six miles from Minneapolistan which is omars district.
Nobody here can stand her.
I also wondered which party she is. She said she is conservative, but no mention of party.
A religion is a choice, she chose poorly. I would never vote for a Satan follower.
“I also hope AOC loses the primary.”
That’s not going to stop her. Rush said the other day AOC thinks the current dem party is too centrist and is going to start a third party.
Win or lose the primary, we are not going to get rid of her. If she is successful at forming a new party, she will likely be that party’s Ernst Röhm, in that in the end her fate will be the same as she is equally simple minded and being used in a similar fashion.
What will be interesting is if that little skunk forms a party with someone in the 2020 prez race. I do not know if that’s even possible this late in the game, but if it happens the far far far left fanatics will abandon the dem party. The blue collar bunch that used to support them are now all but gone from the dem party.
Such a split would mean a huge win for Trump and the end of the dem party all together.
She has all my mail-in votes...
Republican
Like cockroaches after the missles fly, Looters (aka Dims) will be our specie's bane in perpetuity.
She apparently doesnt want to advertise it.
You must see a different search page than I do...
What asterisk?
What dropdown menu?
I don’t see either of those here:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/search
Upper right hand corner is where search is. There’s a window in which you click and get a flashing vertical bar. There’s an asterisk to the left of that window. Click in the window and backspace to get rid of the asterisk,
When you put a cursor in that window, a little drop down menu appears and will say “keywords” with a little box next to it with an up and down choice. Click on that and you will get a dropdown list with:
Keywords
Users
Title
Yahoo
Click on title. Then enter anything from the title in the window and push the Search button all the way to the right.
Geez, no one had to explain this to me. I had to figure it out. Seems like the detailed instructions I just gave might make the task seem more imposing than it is..
It’s easy. Even a caveman can do it.
...interesting...
I guess lots of FReepers do things differently.
No doubt.
she’s republican
