Towards the end of night two of the Senate impeachment trial, the Washington Post reported Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., left the trial over an hour before its conclusion.
Washington Post Reporter Paul Kane said Feinstein exited the Senate chambers through the carriage entrance into an awaiting car at 8:45PM.
On Wednesday, MSNBC Hosts Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes criticized senators who left the impeachment trial early, questioning their devotion to their country.
We also live in a country in which we ask every citizen to serve on juries. Most of those people have other jobs they have to take leave from. If the trial goes for a long time, often they dont collect their paycheck from that and are given a meager amount of money relative to what some of those people might make, Hayes said. These peoples job is to do this. This is literally their job. If you find it too annoying or frustrating or uncomfortable to sit for eight hours and listen, you can resign tomorrow and go get another job.

Feinstein is 86 and currently the oldest sitting senator. That in itself is a problem, but her fellow Lefties need to cut her a break in this instance.
They’re concerned only that she might not vote for removal. Don’t worry, Regressives, she’ll fall in line at the end.
Cut her some slack, Richard (or Rachel or whatever your real name is), she’s what?, 95 years old? She probably doesn’t understand a thing she’s hearing.
She didn’t want to pay her Chinese chauffeur overtime..................
she received a call from her Chinese controller(s)
and HAD TO TAKE IT.
I think Adam Schiff wants her job. Can you imagine both Schumer and Schiff in the Senate?
-PJ
I can imagine them both in orange jumpsuits.................
An old, content liberal like DiFi does less damage than a fresh, full of energy radical like AOC!
Feinstein has been a senator for nearly 30 years. She is part of the problem, not part of the solution. Same could be said for many.
Great summary.
They may do that when their 24 hours comes up...
Patrick Leahy has been in the Senate since 1975 (45 freakin’ years) and he is 79. He can hardly put 2 sentences together that are coherent.
She knows this ain’t going anywhere. A complete waste of her time. These idiots on TV are clueless......................
You should see the praise being given to Schiff on Twitter. I actually read this:
“Schiff is an amazingly eloquent and accomplished prosecutor.”
I actually read that.
There are hashtags life #schiffrocks and #schiffbadass
Remember when she was dull of vim and vigor for the Kavanaugh Dog & Pony show ?
She needs a shot of Geritol or Vitameatavegamin
I’m pretty sure Diane’s Depends were about to explode so it was good that she left. No one would appreciate the aftermath of an imploding diaper . . . especially from a democrat.
Term limits should be welcomed by everyone, amazing how these career politicians don't introduce this legislation eh?
“She knows how she is going to vote “
I don’t think she can vote now that she’s broken one of the strict rules. Probably that’s why MSNBC is pissed at her. They know the rules, and figure that’ll be one less RAT vote.
Im surprised the senate GOP doesnt vote to dismiss, this is sad.”
Because they are six votes short of being able to do it. None of the names would surprise you.
this was their dream for 3 years...and its going up in smoke...from Merrick Garland...to Trumps win in 2016..to Kavanaugh...they cant take much more. Wait till Trump wins in 10 months...its gonna be a spectacle...
I wonder how many of them are taking stimulants to stay awake!
However Feinsteins age should not excuse her or anyone there, this is what they all voted and pushed for for 3 years....now they need to sit there and endure the discomfort they brought on themselves....
