Ha! Nadler is saying “impeachable offences are not limited to criminal offences”! He actually said that! In other words, impeachable offences are whatever we SAY they are! They’re trying to say that Trump abused his power, which is not a crime on the books, but it’s an opinion, which, even though he did not do it, they’re accusing him of it because THEY think EVERYTHING he does is an abuse of power. Trying to undo a legal election without an underlying crime is abuse of power. By the Democrats! (The only upside the democrats will have, is that they can whine in campaign ads, and accuse republicans of acquitting a man that democrats believe is guilty of being elected, against their wishes.)
“The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
But they’re trying to make their case on their ASSUMPTION that the phone call in question was actually an attempt by Trump to get dirt on Biden (presumably to use in a future election) and to enlist Ukraine to do that and that that action would rise to the level of impeachable high crime.
But Biden getting his son on Burisma’s board is obviously a corrupt conflict of interest. And that’s just a matter of FACT.
Biden’s dirt needed no digging. He bragged about it on video.
I think Trump was just giving the new Ukrainian president a heads up.
