A "very big" tax cut for middle-class Americans will be announced over the next 90 days, President Donald Trump said in an interview Wednesday.
"We will make that permanent for the middle class," Trump told Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo in an interview from the World Economic Forum in Davis, Switzerland, where he also added that further initiatives are coming on healthcare.
"We've done well with health care. We got rid of the individual mandate. That was a thing people couldn't do, they couldn't afford it, they didn't want it," said Trump. "They were forced to pay a number and not get health care. We are coming up with a plan that is going to be fantastic."
Last week, Trump's top economic aide Larry Kudlow said he's been working on a "Tax Cuts 2.0" plan to be released later this summer, in time to be a campaign issue ahead of the 2020 election.
The tax cuts are in contrast with plans being presented by Democrats seeking the presidential nomination who are proposing tax increases to pay for expanded government services.
In a separate interview, Trump told CNBC's Joe Kernen that his administration will "probably lower taxes if you want to know the truth."
"If you take a look at what weve done, weve cut taxes in half," said Trump. "Weve taken in more revenue substantially than we did when the taxes were high. Nobody can even believe it. But we take in more revenue with the big tax cuts. I mean you were paying really 41% and we brought it down to 21%, and its sort of lower than that."
Trump added that the cuts will "absolutely" be a priority" in the upcoming year.

Rumor is that the brackets may be shifted.
I shifted my brackets once in my 40s.
I wouldn’t recommend it

ok done-
But I love leftist-controlled government, spending my money on destructive and self-serving social-engineering projects!
I want to pay more!
It should be something like this:
Jeff Bezos and Scrooge McDuck: [90%]
Rest of us: [15% flat tax]
[Rumor is that the brackets may be shifted.]
To make these numbers look better, Obama drew this line going up (now where did I put that...)
Ain’t NOTHING gets past a FReeper. NOTHING!
LOL!!!
Too bad he can’t fire Congress.
That would save Billions
“We are coming up with a plan that is going to be fantastic”
Of course you are.
I think Trump’s priorities should be cutting gov’t spending, not taxes. Tax cuts should be held in reserve for when the economy slows, not used during an economic boom. Meanwhile, our deficit continues to expand https://usdebtclock.org/.
RE: I think Trumps priorities should be cutting govt spending, not taxes.
Can’t happen with Democrats in control of Congress and RINO’s like Murkowski, Collins, Alexander in the Senate.
If you fight them on the budget, what we’ll get is another government shutdown.
TRUMP AND THE MIDDLE CLASS
If you watched President Trump’s 30 minute remarks at Davos (LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwQKfjGIVZI), you heard numerous references to the importance of the MIDDLE CLASS. Unless you’re a sociologist, you probably don’t fully understand how vital a middle class is to ANY
successful social construct.
Trump may be one of the few modern occupants of the White House who understands and APPRECIATES the importance of the middle class. I suspect that at some point in his educational experience he encountered the Taylor Caldwell essay at the link below.

If you want to fully understand how important OUR middle class is to America’s success - and WHY the leftist Democrat (but I repeat myself) would-be overlords MUST destroy it to achieve their Marxist/socialist Utopia where all are equal (but SOME ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS) - spend 14 minutes watching this video.
Then please SHARE IT because a distressing number of our friends and neighbors STILL DO NOT UNDERSTAND to where, like sheep, we’re being herded.
And what about when we held both the House and Senate from 2016-2018? A lot of Republicans seem to like the government gravy train too. Trump should veto any budget that does not take in more than it spends. If that provokes a government shutdown because the Dems want to play chicken so be it.

Eliminate the SALT itemized deduction completely. That way it will be more difficult to restore it if/when a progressive leftist somehow gets in power. Its relatively easy to simply change a money amount or percentage rate if that is in the law already.
the base voted for Trump because of immigration, not tax cuts... over half don’t pay taxes anyway, pandering to the rich only gives the D’s an issue to hammer Trump.
R’s ran on tax cuts for the midterms and lost... repeating the same mistake.
stop all immigration and watch the real tax cuts kick in...
Raise the SALT Deduction from $10,000 to match the Standard Deduction Amount, making it $24,400.
That will directly affect Middle Income Households for the better.
I still believe that the $10,000 Cap on SALT Deductions lost us some Congressional Seats in both Blue and Red States. I know a few People in CA who Voted for a Rat because of it.
You want to pay more! Fine, whip out your checkbook and write the Treasury a check. Trust me, theyll cash it.
