..one can see in that map how Rome has been asleep and alive at the same time for centuries. It is currently Western Civilization IMHO, made up of the peoples of the old empire (Fourth Beast).
It doesn't take a whole lot of imagination to see how all that could collapse back onto Europe once all Christians are gone...
