Speaking of the Romanovs, was there ever a chance to spirit them out of Russia either before or after Nicholas II abdicated?

The Church of the Blood in Yekaterinburg is a memorial to the murdered innocents of that tragic family.

Allegedly they were executed because they received reports that the Whites were on a mission to rescue them.

Perfect question.

The Romanovs asked their FIRST COUSINS the "Windsors" for refuge, but were rebuked because the "Windsors" didn't want to leave a bad taste with constituents... so instead they just looked-on while their own family members were slaughtered by the Bolsheviks.
