POTUS Popping in the Polls
American Thinker.com ^ | January 20, 2020 | Brian C. Joondeph

Watch cable news, particularly CNN or MSNBC, and hear how the “walls are closing in” on President Trump. Impeachment is underway, a solemn and sober process, celebrated by House Speaker Pelosi handing out autographed pens during the impeachment article signing ceremony. One would think she was signing landmark legislation like the Civil Rights Act given the pomp and circumstance.

Meanwhile the Senate passed the USMCA trade agreement, now ready for Trump’s signature, another promise made and kept by the accidental president who has no idea what he is doing. The rube of a president also announced a trade deal with China, quite favorable to the U.S., fulfilling yet another campaign pledge.

The stock market ticks up while unemployment ticks down, so much that the new problem is a labor shortage. From workers on unemployment lines during the Obama years, we will soon have companies on employment lines, waiting for the next available worker.

This is what Democrats are running against – peace and prosperity. They tell us these are not the best of times, but rather the worst of times, and that their socialistic schemes like Medicare-For-All and the Green New Deal are the solutions to problems that exist only in the minds of the far left.

Even the polls are popping for President Trump. With the constant barrage of negative media coverage and the looming threat of an impeachment trial hanging over Trump’s head, his poll numbers should be tanking. But quite the opposite is happening, much to the frustration of his Democrat and media detractors.

There’s always “breaking new” on CNN about Trump....99% negative. It’s more like breaking wind.

Tend to agree with the author of the posted article.

Can't see any reason why Trump shouldn't win all the states he carried in 2016 and perhaps add a few more to his column. He might very well get over 50% of the national popular vote, even though the 'Rats will cheat like crazy to add phony votes to their totals in states like CA that they will win anyhow.

Although Trump frequently grossly exaggerates the numerical magnitude of his electoral college triumph in 2016, his electoral college win in 2020 may very well top 2016 significantly.

The only possible cloud on Trump's reelection horizon is a downturn in the economy, and you can bet that the 'Rats on Wall Street will make every effort to try to "accomplish" that.

The number of attendees at the campaign rallies don’t count. Already, the Dems are requesting absentee ballots for those of their fold who won’t be able to vote on election day due to their previous demise in the last 100 years or so. Come election time, the Dems will gather up all the absentee ballots coming in the mail, fill them out for the “chosen” Dem and return them -— any actual “voter” will never know what happened to their ballot. The Dems working in the hospitals and senior homes will “help” the patients out in the same way. The buses and their Dem activists will arrive at block after block with their bags of money, cigarettes, liquor, maybe even pot or worse, and vote card instructions to transport “Dem voters” to the polls and pay them for their votes. If there’s time, the loaded buses will stop at several polling places before returning “home” and repeat the voting process until the polls close. This is the reliable Dem base that turns out for every election -— and what honest voters are up against.

The lion's share of political contributions from Wall Street firms and their top executives have gone to Democratic presidential candidates for decades (while their media mouthpieces pretend otherwise). They would much prefer to work as crony capitalists with a Democrat administration. They don't particularly care for the prospect of a Sanders or a Warren in the White House, so they would prefer a more "traditional" Democrat instead, e. g., Biden or Bloomberg.

And they're not above causing a market price downturn for a brief period before the election in order to hurt Trump's chances, while the media sounds like the Trump is the second coming of Herbert Hoover. They are so well-heeled that they can withstand a short market downside and come up smelling like roses when the bull market resumes after a traditional Democrat is elected. At least that's what they may be thinking and planning.

It’s why they liked Hillary. They want someone with only 51 cards in the deck who’ll follow instructions. Biden fits the mold, even if he is a corrupt, hair-sniffing creep.

I believe they did this prior to the 2018 mid-term election.

Execs are disproportionately NOT interested in becoming paid lackeys of the gubmint, rather the reverse -- but there's a small loud bunch of college-miseducated leftie pinheads who don't care about their fiduciary responsibilities. Best use for them is dusting the exteriors of the windows on their way down.
