The paesani on Staten Island and the Orthodox in Brooklyn combined with enough sane people in other areas won’t be enough this time to take over the massive L and D numbers.
Although I’m in TN, not NYC, it’s easy for me to guess accurately who most of the fare beaters are: the lowest of the low, those who urinate and defecate in the cars, vandalize the cars, and generally make your essential transport system nearly unusable for the people who absolutely need it for commuting and doing their daily errands. After all, in Knoxville, TN, it’s easy and pretty much necessary to get around by car, while in NYC, it’s often a devil to do so and frightfully expensive, meaning you have to rely on public transit.
I know people who work in NYC, they hate it and can’t wait to leave.
