Look at that map. Think about it. If all those green counties applied to join West Virginia then “Virginia” would essentially be DC. Give DC back it’s “corner” and then some and “Virginia” becomes one state again and the NOVA libtards are trapped in (non voting) DC! Win/win.

It is a fun idea to contemplate.

It would only take a Constitutional Amendment or two, or maybe an Article V convention...

But it really is imminently doable, the invite from West VA has been standing since 1861 apparently. Of course we become 49 states again but I don’t mind the Rats losing two Senators.

President James Polk signed the legislation returning Alexandria to Virginia on July 9, 1846.

A regular law.

So, another law can undo it.

The Constitution only prohibits the formation of new states from the territory of another state without the assent of the state legislature, it is silent regarding the transfer of territory between already existing states.

I’m sure the attempt would end up before SCOTUS but it is worth trying it.
