IIRC, FEMA paid around $75K each for them, and people were outraged. The FEMA trailers are NOT like typical 2 or 3 BR mobile homes with amenities. They are tiny, 2 wheeled tin campers, about 80 sq ft.
$75K was enough to buy a 3 BR HOUSE in many major southern cities at that time.

Back in 2015, FEMA said that they were paying near $62,000 for the complete delivery of the unit to x-location. They haven’t said where these trailers are coming from, the contract being used for the hundred, or the quality involved.

Typically if a FEMA officer is put in charge of a purchase order....they will normally pay 200-percent minimum of the actual real cost, but the contract will stipulate immediate delivery for the dealer to get their money.
