The government ID process entails investigation and verification of relevant information and, then, issuance of an ID. It is not, and never has been, a process to provide false, confusing, unverifiable, or deceptive information requested by the applicant to use for whatever purpose the applicant desires, nor for deception of others as to facts which, in an orderly society, need to conform to reality. Inability to rely on the accuracy of the ID information will be of serious, if not critical, concern to most of the population. That legislation is unwise, unethical, dangerous, and, surely to be contended by some, unlawful.
Government identification documents (“IDs”) are issued by government (including schools) to confirm facts about the person to whom the ID is to be issued and/or that the person is a member of a specific class of persons. IDs serve as verification of a person’s identity and/or membership in a class of persons (1) authorized to take certain actions (such as acting as a police officer, physician, attorney, teacher, plumber, electrician, architect, etc.), or (2) entitled to certain benefits or privileges ( Social Security, Medicare, food stamps, right to vote, right to purchase alcohol, right to travel, etc.) IDs are presented by the holder for the express or implied purpose of securing the trust and confidence of the person or entity to whom the ID is presented.

Colorado does not validate citizenship on welfare applications. Applicants are told by State and county welfare technicians to lie and put down false social security numbers, provide copies of bogus birth certificates, and lie about their address. Since Colorado doesn’t verify any information, illegal aliens get Colorado welfare befits.
It is illegal in Denver to ask citizenship status for any public benefits.
All this hoopla about RealID is just for us American citizens suckers.
Colorado is being run by the California gay mafia on steroids. If they win the next election I am leaving.
It is the same situation in Washington State. We are being forced to pay twice as much for an “enhanced” drivers license if we want to go to Canada or get on an airline flight, but illegals can still get them using bogus documentation. In the end its all about paying more money to the government if you are a productive legal citizen. Security has little if anything to do with it.

Its even worse than you think. My 17 y/o daughter just started driving and needed a license. I brought what I thought was sufficient docs to get her a real ID, but ended up only having 2 of the 3 required documents, so we settled for the regular drivers license instead....here is the kicker though, the clerk tells us ‘don’t worry, now that you have a driver’s license it can act as the third document I needed’ to get a real-id.
So in other words, the documentation I gave them wasn’t good enough to prove citizenship, but the document they gave me back (the regular drivers license we got with limited documentation), could then act as proof of citizenship, thus satisfying the 3rd requirement - anyone besides me see anything wrong with this circular logic?
It’s how illegals get a Real ID.
