Mitch has as much to gain from Trump not being re-elected as the dems do in seeing him removed.
Baloney. If Trump is removed from office the GOP will be lucky to keep 20 seats in the U.S. Senate. If he loses in November they're likely to be down to 40-45 seats by 2024, and one of the ones they lose is almost certainly going to be McConnell's seat in Kentucky.
