It will be 3 or 4 weeks minimum. They haven’t even started bickering on process in the Senate yet. Then after the process bickering is done I expect House Dems will filibuster during their presentation. Then there will be more bickering, etc. So we’re at near a month without breaking a sweat. Pay no attention to what Graham says. His track record against the coupists is awful.
There is no reason to call witnesses (such as Bolton) unless you know what he is going to testify to. If there isn’t strong evidence that Bolton will support their case, the Democrats have no grounds on which to request him. It’s just a fishing expedition.
This Senate trial from my perspective is about winning. No deals with devil dems, just win. Two weeks later nobody will remember the procedure or really even care. Vote on this ASAP. Keep things narrow and defined...ie the letter. Graham is right...1 week.
Trump will not allow Bolton to testify, I think they call it executive privilege.
I dont think you understand how this works. The senators are sworn to silence during the trial. They never get to speak. Any questions have to be submitted in writing. There wont be anybody speaking except the House managers and Trump’s lawyers. One or two days for each side to present their case then a vote on whether to call witnesses then the vote to acquit.

McConnell probably has the votes to stop a motion to call witnesses and has given her some sort of political cover.

I don’t think you understand that the Democrats are not interested in fair play. The House managers are going to “present their case” until the GOP forces them to stop. We shall see what limits the GOP puts on them. So far the GOP has given the Democrat coupists nothing but a green light to assault POTUS and his supporters.
What McConnell should do is to put up the impeachment to a vote, asking all senators whether they wish to dismiss the case for lack of proof and mostly for lack of a real crime for which Trump is being indicted.
All senators would be put on the record with their votes, and any senator that wishes to continue the case should suffer the consequences during the upcoming primaries and general elections.
