Pelosi calls Facebook a 'shameful' company that helped in 'misleading the American people'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi blasted Facebook as a "shameful" company on Thursday, further escalating tensions between Democratic leadership and the social media giant.

In response to a question about the power held by Facebook (FB) CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Thursday, Pelosi accused the company of being "accomplices for misleading the American people with money from god-knows where." She also suggested that the company cares about profits above all else. "All they want are their tax cuts and no antitrust action against them," she said, adding that she believes Facebook "schmoozed" the Trump administration. The comments came at Pelosi's weekly press conference on Capitol Hill.

It’s called draw attention to what social media can be used for and make sure your political rivals don’t even have the opportunity to do WHAT YOU DID with it when suddenly you are out of power and the shoe is on the other foot.

There are a LOT of things we shouldn’t be allowing in data collection and manipulation of what people see. But no way am I going to just sit and allow those who have had the most benefit of the tools suddenly try to take away the tools when they aren’t convenient.

Put the swamp in jail, end the corruption and THEN when we all have a decade of slightly more trust in our system get a bipartisan effort going to update our privacy and first amendment laws for the digital age.

Otherwise? Forget it.

I had the same thing happen. I was looking at a Polaris vehicle and a day or so later, the ad showed up on my wife’s FB page. She had never looked at any Polaris sites and I don’t use Facebook.

A theory I have is the Democrat Establishment thinks they get power via control of the "Official Narrative" and the Trump's use of the internet or those who don't like the Democrat Establishment's used the internet to bypass the "Official Narrative" and defeat Hillary Queen.

It is fascinating to see the Democrats openly advocating political speech censorship. I myself have been banned many times from Twitter because I am an immigrant for Trump and that goes against the "Official Narrative".
