In California thieving is officially okay.
No, no, they won't say it is. But it is, nonetheless. For if what a person steals is worth less than a nine hundred and fifty bucks it goes pretty much unpunished. Maybe there'll be a fine. Usually not even that. Thieves like this. The victims of the thefts usually not so much.
This past week a young couple who had just few months back moved into a new home in the small city of Visalia, CA, were arrested. That for doing something that the state of California's legal codes still sees as a no-no and punishes. They beat several people up with a baseball bat.
Having been the victims of theft their very first night in the community, and then again, the next, and then again and again, they decided to do something about it. They placed an unchained bicycle in their yard and then they lay in wait.
When a thief appeared -- as they knew one would -- they jumped out of hiding and beat him with that bat. Then they did the same thing again and again, night after night. And each time they made a video of their actions and posted it on YouTube.
Earlier this week that couple were arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy.

None of the thieves were arrested. That, the police say, was because the couple never made an official report of the crimes.
Is there a lesson in this? Yes, I think there is.

I heard there’s a list going around of vehicles with the cheapest side windows to repair, just for this reason.
Last night they said on the news that in the interval the couple have moved but their old neighbors said they continued to enjoy the decrease in crime they produced.
Why would anyone buy — for example — liquor? Just walk into the store, pickup a nice bottle of good whiskey and walk out. That stuff is free now.
Where I live there is a problem with guns being stolen out of cars. First, let me say you probably shouldnt leave your gun in your car. However, the person doing the PSA is the city Director of Public Safety. Shouldnt he be stopping people from breaking into cars? To me, that says, Im failing at my job so you need to modify your behavior.
If you called ANY Police Department in California to complain your Bicycle is being Stole, you would be able to hear the Police Laughing at you from New York and you would quickly become the JOKE of the Town.
How do people run businesses there, between the thieving and the homeless crapping in their stores? How do they keep employees? Tolerating this lawlessness means paying customers and law-abiding citizens will pay more for the things they buy. At some point, many will think playing by the rules is a fool’s game, and many more will become corrupt. This is the left’s plan - destroy civilized norms to usher in their revolution.
In the Houston area, thieves look for pro gun or NRA stickers on vehicles to break into. They are looking to steal firearms.
Between you and me... we wouldn’t do it because it is dishonest.

This seems to be a particularly unwise thing to do in Texas. The owner of the vehicle may be looking to do some target practice.
"Laws" are only for the benefit of our Owners or their gunthugs.
Ya. No justice.
forget firearms, in Calif they’ll break into your vehicle for a box of Kleenex and the 60cents in change in your console
