Republicans in Congress are gullible
*************
They are also weak and feckless.

Which is why Im not nearly as confident in the outcome of the Senate trial as most folks seem to be. There are enough weak and frightened Pubs in the upper chamber to screw things up royally. And that says nothing of never-Trumpers and the stupidly pedantic trouble-makers like Rand Paul and Mike Lee.

I'd say not gullible but complicit. Many repubs are feckless poltroons who are mainly feathering their (and their extended family's) nest. Pathetic.

My money is on corrupt, which is why I think Trump is in danger of being removed.

It always easier to destroy than to build, to cheat rather than follow the rules. While evil thinks itself strong, it’s the meek who have the strength to follow the law.
The pubs are not spineless, they are meek. An admirable trait. Humility always seems weaker than pride.
But is Pelosi strong, or full of Schiff?

If our elected representatives don’t respond proportionately to the democrats in a manner representing our outrage over what they have been doing, that leaves only one choice. Virginia is already trying to get out in front of it.

Lack of courage is the problem, not gullibility. A friend of mine with long experience as a GOP staffer on the Hill and who is now an attorney and lobbyist in DC refers to the GOP House and Senate members as “the rabbits.” Relentlessly hammered by the news media and the Democrats, they are so intimidated that, with rare exceptions, they are unwilling to confront them. To a degree, Trump is now changing that.
