NASHVILLE, Tenn. Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee announced Tuesday that hell sign into law a measure that would assure continued taxpayer funding of faith-based foster care and adoption agencies even if they exclude LGBT families and others based on religious beliefs.
The GOP-controlled Senate gave the bill final passage on the first day of the 2020 legislative session after it was initially approved by the House last April. The bill was sent to the Republican governor amid warnings by critics of possible negative consequences for Tennessees reputation.
Lees communication director, Chris Walker, confirmed in a statement Tuesday evening that the governor would sign the bill. Earlier, before the Senate vote, Lee declined to weigh in after saying he had not read the two-page bill.

Some pushback at last! Of course some black robed tyrant will immediately slam it down.
Of course, NBC uses a totally misleading headline.
Homosexual men should never be permitted to be alone with children, ever.
Yep... some obammafied, gay or dyked up judge will try to shut it down.
May God bless this governor. He knows Who he ultimately answers to. Unfortunately the majority of democrats don’t.
God bless!!!!
HE IS STILL IN HOT WATER OVER HIS ALLOWING MORE REFUGEES
I have likes and dislikes about the relationship between government and adoption agencies. I agree that government should keep it’s hands of the adoption policies of the agency (thus protecting religious liberty), but I don’t like the use of tax-payer funds for these agencies. If (and when) the Dems get back into power, they will use this tax-payer funded excuse to regulate the heck outta these agencies.
The wrong decision. The children need stability. Too many ‘straight’ couples are unstable.
Children will grow up and find their own way as they become adults. You folks must have more faith in a child’s strength and resilience.
I believe that homosexuals should have the same rights as I do. When it comes to adoption the children should have rights also. Not all heterosexual marriages are great, obviously. But the child should have the choice of traditional parents. Its been the norm forever. A boy and girl needs the influence of both sexes.

We now live in a country where you will be arrested if you try to keep a man in a dress from following your little girl into a bathroom.
Sorry but you’re out of your mind if you don’t see that one of the biggest reason’s this country is the mess that it is right now is the influence of government and liberal parents on children. Children that grow up often to be even more radical than mom and dad, or dad and dad.
About time.
Of course, it won’t stand.
Anyone who is OK with Homos adopting children should leave FR.

..
Neither do I nor do the various Baptist Childrens Homes scattered around the country. They do not accept any government money and they do not adopt to homosexuals.
No rule that you must be Baptist to qualify but you must be Christian non homosexual.
Fees are on a scale based on income, they don’t have a lot of babies, they have long waiting lists for babies, as do most adoption agencies.
