'100% false': DOJ rejects Lev Parnas claim that Barr was part of Ukraine scheme
Washington Examiner ^ | 1/15/20 | Daniel Chaitin, Jerry Dunleavy

Posted on 01/16/2020 2:08:49 AM PST by Libloather

The Justice Department flatly rejected allegations by Lev Parnas, an indicted associate of Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, that Attorney General William Barr was "absolutely" involved in a Ukraine scheme now at the center of impeachment.

"100% false," DOJ spokeswoman Kerri Kupec told the Washington Examiner in the same two-word statement which MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, who conducted an interview with Parnas on Wednesday, read live on air.

Parnas, 47, along with another Giuliani associate, Igor Fruman, was charged over an alleged scheme to funnel foreign money to Republican politicians. House Democrats began releasing a trove of texts and documents Tuesday evening related to efforts to remove then-Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch from her post in Kyiv. Parnas asserted that his dealings in Ukraine, now the subject of impeachment scrutiny, were done with Trump's and Giuliani's knowledge.

If Barr were building a time machine I expect he would get it just about to his satisfaction the moment there is no time left.

Don’t you think it curious that Barr and Durham can’t seem to make anything happen to Trump’s benefit in three years but Preet Bahara can get a Giuliani associated investigated, accused, and indicted in a few weeks. Funny how that shit happens over and over, huh?

______

I must be honest. I am not close enough to the 'legal wheels of injustice' to know exactly what is the actual, complete truth.

By the way, EVERYTHING is curious to me.

********

Also .... Barr was confirmed as Attorney General on February 14, 2019. Your silly "three years" is a little off.

You may want to do a little more learning and less pontificating.

Could I ask you to B-mail me when Barr/Durham indicts someone at McCabe’s level or higher? I’ll be waiting but I won’t be holding my breath.

Lev Parnas, an INDICTED associate of Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani

The DA is simply squeezing him to make up lies so he will get off with less or no punishment. The deep state is at work again.

Yep, there will never be arrests nor indictments...too much blackmail using $1B Clinton Foundation$$$...that can buy anything.

On True Pundit, it depicts how Barr just let the Saudis just leave the country instead of indict the....Barr is deep state.

For some time I have been wryly observing that the Democrats are making a good case to impeach Rudy Giuliani. I see nothing here that implicates the president with direct knowledge.

More important, I revert to my original position stated months ago, even if all these allegations are taken to be true, that is, the president was aware of machinations to cause Ukraine to announce an investigation of Joe Biden and was willing to withhold aid funds to accomplish that, he committed no impeachable offense.

No impeachable offense because the president cannot be removed from office for investigating plausible allegations of corruption even if it might somehow enure to his own electoral fortunes. To hold otherwise is to handcuff every president and cripple all negotiation with foreign powers.

Three years ?

Barr became AG less than a year ago, 2/14/2019/

You can thank his predecessor Jeff Sessions for what happened the previous two years.

Sessions on FNC Ingraham last night taking about Trump impeachment.

They’re definitely squeezing him, and he’s definitely of questionable character, but that’s why the documents he has, the text messages with Giuliani for instance, that corroborate his story are interesting to some people.

It certainly seems possible if not probable. What is baffling is why Trump picked him?

Eventually another ‘dem’ will win the office and power back, and if those (and they are many from Obama down) who criminally conspired to overthrow the government are not prosecuted and sentenced to lifetimes in prison, then everything Trump has done will be undone in minutes and the country will truly become unrecognizable.
