A missing Florida teen with autism made it through a TSA checkpoint at the Orlando International Airport with a strangers boarding pass - and told authorities that she just wanted to fly in an airplane, according to new reports.
Sade Subbs, 15, who the Apopka Police Department says suffers from high-functioning autism, was last seen around 10 p.m. Thursday near Lake Jackson Circle in the Orange County city before she vanished, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
The next day, a Southwest Airlines employee at the airport spotted the teen wandering around a gate and asked her if she needed help, according to the report.

She told him that she found the drink coupon on the floor and used it to pass through TSA PreCheck - though TSA said she used a valid and current boarding pass to sneak past, according to the report. Shes shown on airport surveillance video going through the PreCheck lane around 1:30 p.m.
Although she presented someone elses boarding pass, she was screened and the TSA screening procedures did assure she posed no threat to aviation, the agency said in a statement to ABC News.

Maybe this is an example why the many layers of security is needed.
Greta?
But they gave her a good groping first, so its all OK.
They would’ve caught her if she was carrying an extra ounce of toothpaste than allowed. TSA is more concerned about security theatre than security.
No. Teen suffers from high-functioning autism,.
Greta suffers from low functioning Aspergers.
Meanwhile, at MSP...

"She pulled them behind my shoulders, laughed and said 'giddyup!' as she snapped my braids like reins," one of the tweets said, in part.
Now thats funny. Its even funnier it happened to an activist."
It has nothing to do with security.
Well stated.
You mean the kid was not scared when the TSA kept yelling...
‘PUT YOUR SHOES IN THE TRAY! THE DAMN TRAY! ALL BELTS ALSO IN THE TRAY! ARE YOU STUPID? I SAID THE F&&&&&G TRAY. THE TRAY IS COLOR GRAY!!”
I’m thinking that she has that form of autism that could have been cured at a young age if her parents had believed in appropriate discipline.
...though TSA said she used a valid and current boarding pass to sneak past,
Riiiiiiight! Yeah, thats the ticket! Uh huh...
Where are her family and friends?
” if her parents had believed in appropriate discipline.”
My son is autistic (high functioning). He suffers from delayed speech, but the kid is frigging smart :-). Like scary smart :-).
Discipline in these cases is a tough judgement call. Sometimes my son is acting like a prick and needs punished. Other times, he is seemingly acting like a prick, but he’s frustrated not being able to express himself. What makes things even more difficult is that he picks up that we are trying to determine if he’s acting like a jagoff or if something is wrong, so he knows how to act like something is wrong, but is actually in jagoff mode (though we are getting better at determining this as he learns how to speak :-) ).
Overall, I’d cut this girl a little slack ... you may very well be right, but I can also see why its so difficult making punishment calls when the kid is autistic :-) . Also, please understand that I’m not acting all holier than thou ... I see a lot of parents of autistic children get all offended and what not ... I am not like that. This is an amazing learning experience for me and I’d simply like to share what I’ve observed :-).
The world was supposed to end by now. Why waste your breath trying to correct a snotty nose brat.
I call BS
Even with Precheck you need to show
ID and boarding pass to 2 security persons
The story is vague. Why was she at the airport if she didn’t have her own boarding pass? Who did the “stranger’s” pass belong to, and how did that “stranger” not get on a flight? Who drove her to the airport? How long was she missing?
ID?
RTFA!
ID?
Yeah, that too! How the heck...?
