I like that open concept. I wish ours was, but this house was built in the early 60s and the rooms are small, closed off and the windows small. We could have probably opened up the kitchen/dining and the living room, but we never had the kind of money it takes to do that kind of remodeling. Plus I hate the house and never wanted to deal with it.

I like the open concept too. The house I grew up in was that way.

Houses built nowadays are built like yours. Small, closed-off rooms. I’ve been in a few around here and they look large from outside but inside makes me almost claustrophobic.

I hate I’ve had to wait 20 years to move into this house but am glad we finally did it. Now I just have to get more photos and paintings hung on the walls to give a more “homey” feel.
