I just returned home from the movie 1917. Stunningly well done emotionally draining movie. It was epic. All should see it.
I was reminded of these very snowflakes. Panning the faces of those young boys at war I couldnt help but think what an incomparable time and people.
Sad. All of it. To you whove not yet seen that movie, please go. Hard to watch but so well done. We cant forget the ravages of war. Ever.
To the cowards of today. Well...I cant say what Id like to say.
In both World Wars, seventeen year old young men (that’s what they were, unlike today’s snowflakes) were lying about their age in order to enlist.
My grandfather was older than that when he volunteered in 1917, but he had just married my grandmother who was sixteen at the time. As the saying went,
“There are sixteen year old girls, and there are sixteen year old women.”
In those days, adult responsibilities for most came at an earlier age.
They were married almost fifty years when Grandpa died of a stroke.
And now we have stunted children like Greta Thunberg being led around by middle aged children as an example to the rest of us.
Madness.....MADNESS!!!
You NEED me on that wall. You WANT me on that wall.
