In the documentary ‘The great global warming swindle’ Al Gore showed a graph over hundreds of years of temperature and CO2. The audience gasped at the chart showing the 2 running identical lines. Someone in the audience pointed out that the CO2 was following the temp. Not the reverse. His microphone was cut off.

Since that was in my textbooks in the nineteen sixties and seventies I will assume that they knew it.
I could use some warm CO2 right now...
but a flannel shirt and Polar Fleece blanket will have to do.

NASA knew at their founding in 1958 what all of mankind knew at the Earth’s founding about 6,000 years ago when God created the sun on the first day.
The Sun, cloud cover, and the Pacific Ocean currents control our climate.
This was known in 58 AD.

CO2 exists as a TRACE gas in our atmosphere at only little more than 400 parts per MILLION. Most CO2 is from natural sources and is essential for the life of all green plants on the planet. To assume that part per MILLION changes of a single trace gas are the primary if not sole driver of the planet”s climate and the variation in the sun’s output, the wobble of the earth’s axis relative to the sun, the oceans and volcanic eruptions which spew dust and other gases high into the atmosphere have negligible or no effect on climate is simply preposterous.

The problem with articles like this assume that leftists are convinced by facts.
This is not the case. Leftists are not rational.
In fact, many of them dismiss logic as the creation of white men.
Rather, the leftists operate by their emotions and feelz, so in order to change their minds, the changing process has to be emotionally based.
Mire Sun, higher temp, more photosynthesis = More CO2.
Not as an operational organization... Although "created" legally in October 1958, there were just a few dozen people at laboratories (like NRL) around the U.S. who would be tasked with getting the organization functional over the next couple of years... It was one of the fastest, most exciting, and, for a few decades, successful peace-time technology programs the government has ever started...
However, the government never saw anything "excellent" it couldn't, with great efficiency, turn "mediocre" or "piss-poor"...
I was a toddler then so I was just guessing.
When I hit grade school my father bought me a children’s book on it. Also we subscribed to the Time\Life series of science, etc books. I remember reading about it in one of those volumes also.
