In the heat of battle sh!t happens.

Remember when the USS Vincennes shot down an Iranian passenger jet?

Was that wanton disregard for safety, common sense and morals?

Apple to oranges.

In the case of the USS Vincennes the aircraft was warned numerous times to change course. All warnings were disregarded.

The Ukrainian aircraft was shot down minutes after leaving the Tehran airport. I doubt any warning was given, and even less time for the aircraft to react if any warning was issued.

The USS Vincennes tried to contact the Iranian air line 10 times with no response from them. Did the Iranians try to contact the Ukrainian plane? apples to oranges.

I retract my earlier statement. But these twerps have been pissing me off since “Three’s Company” was in first run. Thanks to the peanut farmer from Plains, Ga. we are still dealing with these morons 41 years later.

The mullah’s regime is responsible for multiple crimes against humanity and crimes against the general welfare of its own citizenry. This shootdown is not one of them. It was a negligent act, a deliberate action (firing the missile) done in the wrong time, place, or manner.

There is no upside to shooting down an airliner. When the U.S. Navy shot down the Iranian airliner, we (somewhat reluctantly) owned up to it and paid appropriate damages. I suspect the mullahs realized that you can’t sweep this under the rug, and that the only way to get past it was to admit they screwed up. Now, will they step up and pay damages to the next of kin for their mistake?

I have to give them some credit for coming clean on this, or at least getting out ahead of the inevitable truth. Unlike Democrats, of course, where they will continue to lie and deny even when undeniably factual evidence is thrust into their faces.

It was probably a trigger happy guy in their military, or bad orders (if you see something on this screen, shoot it down).

Our military paid out a lot of money when we made our mistake. I hope the Iranians still have some Obama Bucks left.

It took 14 posts for someone to state the obvious?

Sad.
