Sick: Stephen King, Don Winslow Offer $200K to St. Jude if WH Press Secretary Holds a Briefing
PJ Media ^ | 10 Jan 2020 | Jim Treacher

Long before his fall from grace, Woody Allen made a very good movie called Annie Hall. And at the beginning of the movie, he told this joke: "Two elderly women are at a Catskill Mountains resort, and one of them says, 'Boy, the food at this place is really terrible.' The other one says, 'Yeah, I know. And such small portions!'" I'm reminded of this joke whenever a lib complains that the Trump administration isn't holding enough press briefings. They hate Trump and everything he does... and such small portions!

And now these sad, broken people are even turning this obsession into a creepy emotional-blackmail scheme. Alison Flood, The Guardian:

Bestselling novelists Stephen King and Don Winslow have offered to donate $200,000 (£153,000) to a children’s hospital if the White House press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, will hold a press conference...

Grisham did not respond directly to the challenge, but told CNN’s Jake Tapper: “If you have $200,000 to play with, why not just help children because it’s a good thing to do? Donations to charity should never come with strings attached.”

Stephen King sucks as a writer. His stories are boring and so contrived.

Trump should troll him. Tell kreepy King, the money up front first and when the cash is confirmed depoisted by the charity, have Stephanie hold a news conference where they ask her questions, and she tells them all to piss off! A fool and his money......

I can’t think of any other reason the state media is nothing but President Trump 24/7 - good for ratings. Trump as president makes big money for the networks.

Keeping the general public constantly embroiled in “crisis” makes mush brained Americans demand more government to “solve” these problems (as if government ever solved anything)

I do believe that if King really got to know Donald Trump, he’d take a Shining to him. **Ducking**

Dance for me, my monkeys. DANCE!

Can you recall the last time as resident, Obama was demanded to do something for a charitable donation?

Imagine the demtard response to something like that.

I think King doesn’t realize HE IS THE ONE WHO LOOKS LIKE A GIANT DOUCHE.

Not to mention, the Trumps held huge fundraisers for St. Jude’s. They had to stop when Trump became president, because of possible influence peddling. (But the Clinton Foundation made a fortune when Hillary was Secretary of State. [no charge of influence peddling, or Payton play]).
No Danny Thomas. No. Gary Sinise. No MarkWahlberg.

I actually enjoyed, for the most part, his novel 11/22/63 (New York: Pocket, 2016), which is about a man from the present who finds a way to travel back to 1958 and then tries to live in the past for five more years so as to thwart the assassination of JFK.

However, although most of the story is a page-turner, it falls apart at the end. I was also turned off by scenes of excessive sex and violence as well as the author's leftist politics. So I gave it only three stars out of five on Goodreads, a social media site for books and readers.

If they want to see/hear Trump talk to “the press,” they only need to tune in to One America News Network and ignore Marine One idling in the background.

I like his writing for the most part as do millions of othets, but that’s beside the point.

The point is, he’s an intolerant and arrogant human being.

Maybe we don’t want them to contribute to St. Jude’s:

https://www.lifenews.com/2019/12/16/pro-life-group-lists-every-company-that-funds-planned-parenthood/

“LDI also investigates nonprofit organizations to determine whether they either support abortion or have made financial donations to Planned Parenthood. Its ‘Nonprofits Behaving Badly’ section identifies charities associated with Planned Parenthood or other advancement of abortion.”
