Most of the state is a desert.

The problem with California seceding is that, like Venezuela, it’s implosion is inevitable. Gavin Newsom makes Hugo Chavez look like an astute economist.

But, if the state leaves, it’ll go completely in the tank within a decade, and then will beg the U.S. to bail it out, and allow them to reenter the union.

That will be an enormously expensive undertaking.

They cannot leave because we will kill them. That’s called CW2. You’re all talking about the ongoing plan to steal California from the United States, via illegal immigration. It almost would be worth a secession attempt in that we could identify them as traitors and treat them accordingly. Otherwise, the population wave from the illegal immigration states it’s going to spread out until Democrats control the Union.
