Via the state Film Production Credit, the EDC hands $420 million a year in taxpayer cash to companies that film in New York, by far the most generous Hollywood subsidy of any state.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo and other politicians love this giveaway because it lets them hobnob with (and fundraise from) the grandees of Tinseltown. But its a rotten deal for the public.

Hollywood is corporations, yet they are one of the kinds of big money corporations that Leftists don’t mind subsidizing.
A great benevolent dictator would not only stop all those subsidies but boot from office the legislators that voted for them and the chief executives that passed them out.
Hollywood needs to pay their fair share!
