"I may have been a victim that night, but I am not a victim for the rest of my life," said veteran foreign correspondent Lara Logan describing the mindset she adopted in the aftermath of a brutal attack and rape by a mob in Cairo's Tahrir Square in 2011 -- the night that former Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak was overthrown.
In an interview with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo on her show "Mornings with Maria" on Thursday, Logan talked about how the experience impacted her.
"I think that one of the most significant things for me was that... I had a conventional idea about recovery," Logan said. "That I had to prove to everybody that I was the same person I was before."

That chick is a spitfire...
I like her.
The only good saracen is a dead one.
>> “That I had to prove to everybody that I was the same person I was before.”
Personally, only her perspective matters.
Politically, the rotten fruits of Arab Spring was on Obama and his ilk.
Good the Egyptian military put the MoBros back in their place.
I was a friend of one of Lara’s relatives. Lara had about 13 reconstructive surgeries to repair the damage to her body at that time, IIRC.. My friend told me that Lara had a strength and force of will that was unlike anyone she had ever known. Refined by fire, not consumed or defeated.
Lara spoke at that friend’s funeral, and her words were the most comforting I have ever heard at a funeral. Spoke with her afterwards, and she was very down to earth, humble.
Was she raped during that attack? Hopefully not? 13 surgeries? Dang- it must have been brutal
I went to the link and then another link. Gang raped and sodomized. Spent four days in the hospital back in the states. All of her joints were distended. (I’m guessing from a bunch of guys holding her arms and legs and pulling as she struggled.)
She got her wisdom of “I’m not going to let them affect me anymore” from a young rape victim that told her that in an interview years prior.
Good for her - brave woman.
It sounded like a more recent investigation she was on was looking into sex cartels in Mexico. Like I said - a brave woman.
Just looked, the Mexico report is coming out soon - she talked about it a few days ago (threatened my Mexican police.)

It was unimaginably brutal, and she suffered, and nearly died. I will not recount publicly all the things they did to her.
[[(threatened my Mexican police.)]]
Huh? She threatened mexican police?
[[I went to the link and then another link. Gang raped and sodomized.]]
Ugggh- nothing worse that being raped by filthy animals like that
oh i think you meant she was threatened by the police?
We have to understand that Musloids are ALL rapemonkeys...
Killing them with fire while they squeal, before we stuff them into a pit with butchered swine (all videotaped) - this would be the correct way to deal with them.
Yes - typing too fast. But imagine after her experience in Eygpt - “oh let’s got to Mexico and do a story on human trafficking.”
However - who better to do such a story. Our pastor talks about that, sometimes when bad things happen to us it shows us things that we maybe weren’t all that concerned about - and then we may have the opportunity to do something about it.
In an article she said everything was fine as she reported on the “celebration” in the street. Then the cameraman’s light went out.
“And like that (snapping her fingers) they were on me.”
tough tough girl for sure- talk about having ptsd- dang- she must have nightmares and cringe whenever she is in a mob situation- it’s gotta affect her- the damage from those maggots doesn’t just go away- May her attaCKEr’s eternal punishment be the same as they dished out- over and over and over again- never ending- I don’t know if it’s right to wish that- but that’s how i feel about it-
Prayers up.
Lara, if you see this...
May God give her continued strength and resiliency. May He heal her physical and spiritual wounds from that awful night years ago. Father, I ask for your your divine mercy and grace
and to remember Lara and hold her in Your hand. Amen.
Musloid rapemonkeys
*** Prayers up. ***
Thank you, KitJ
