Almost immediately after the crash I read several times about how there was a No-Fly order in effect at that time.
But I’ve not seen that mentioned for several days.

No sure about that. There was an exclusion zone (again not sure how big) and civilian aircraft were suppose to monitor a certain radio frequency. The ship tried to contact the aircraft both on military and civilian frequencies and did not get a response.
